From Atlanta to Ho Chi Minh City: A Journey of Discovery for the Next Generation

When our flight from Atlanta landed in Ho Chi Minh City, a unique seven-day educational journey began.

For the second generation of Jack & King’s, this was more than a trip overseas. It was an opportunity to step outside the familiar, experience another country firsthand, and gain a broader understanding of culture, business, and the global food industry.

Discovering the Real Vietnam

Vietnam is sometimes viewed simply as a low-cost manufacturing base or a popular travel destination. But once we traveled from the busy streets of Ho Chi Minh City to the countryside along the Mekong Delta, we discovered a much more dynamic and diverse country.

In Ho Chi Minh City, French architecture, Chinese temples, modern commercial districts, and traditional neighborhoods exist side by side.

In Chợ Lớn, the city’s historic Chinese district, we visited temples and traditional markets and learned how generations of overseas Chinese built businesses, communities, and new lives in Vietnam. Their stories offered the children a vivid example of cultural integration, entrepreneurship, and perseverance.

The journey also took us deep into Vietnam’s food industry.

At pangasius farms and processing facilities in the Mekong Delta, we saw modern aquaculture, food safety management, large-scale processing, and highly efficient export operations.

For the children, this transformed the idea of a “global supply chain” from something in a textbook into something they could actually see and understand.

Vietnam is no longer simply associated with low-cost manufacturing. It is becoming an increasingly important part of the global food supply chain and an emerging market full of new opportunities.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

One of the most important purposes of this journey was to help the next generation develop a global perspective.

By visiting factories, meeting local entrepreneurs, and seeing how businesses operate in another country, the children began to understand what their parents’ generation experienced while building international businesses.

They saw that business is not only about products and numbers. It is also about relationships, trust, cultural understanding, persistence, and the ability to discover opportunities in unfamiliar places.

At the same time, the journey was not only about business.

Cruising along the Mekong River, visiting Vũng Tàu, exploring local communities, and experiencing Vietnamese food and traditions gave the children another important lesson: the world is much bigger and more diverse than what they encounter at home or in school.

Learning to understand different cultures and connect with people from different backgrounds may become just as important as professional knowledge in their future.

The Journey Ends, but Growth Continues

Seven days passed quickly, but the experience will stay with us for much longer.

We watched the children move from curiosity and excitement to deeper observation and reflection. They learned to work together, ask questions, understand a new culture, and see how international business operates in the real world.

Vietnam gave us much more than beautiful scenery and great food. It gave the next generation a window into history, culture, industry, and globalization.

For Jack & King’s, this educational journey was also about heritage, growth, and the future.

We crossed oceans to discover a more authentic Vietnam.

And through that journey, we hope the next generation will gradually learn to understand a bigger world, think with a broader perspective, and create their own path in the future.

You Don’t See America’s Real Strength Until You Experience the World Cup in Person

The 2026 World Cup gave many people a new perspective on the United States.

From Atlanta and Los Angeles to New York and New Jersey, Jack & King’s had the opportunity to attend 11 World Cup matches in person. Standing inside these massive stadiums, one impression stood out: America’s strength is not only in what it builds, but in the system behind it.

A stadium holding 70,000 or 80,000 people is more than a sports venue. Transportation, security, food service, retail, entertainment, technology and crowd management all have to work together smoothly.

That is what the World Cup revealed.

Infrastructure is not only highways, airports and railways. It also includes stadiums, schools, hospitals, libraries, community centers and the public spaces that support everyday life.

What impressed us even more was the ability to operate these facilities over the long term. Many World Cup stadiums were not built for one tournament. They are already home to professional teams and regularly host sports, concerts and major events. They continue creating value year after year.

The same foundation can be seen at the community level. Even in towns where soccer is not the No.1 sport, children often have access to quality fields, organized leagues and a well-developed sports culture.

For Jack & King’s, the biggest takeaway from these 11 matches was not simply how many games we watched.

It was seeing people from different countries and cultures come together through football—Spanish fans celebrating, South American supporters singing, and American families bringing their children to experience the World Cup for the first time.

The tournament may be over, but the connections it created will continue.

It reminded us once again:

The world needs connection. Cultures need exchange. And food is one of the most natural bridges between people.

Thank you, World Cup 2026, for an unforgettable summer of passion, friendship and global connection.

Central and South America: The Dawn of a "New Species" of Ice Cream

On the evening of April 8th, the Global Ice Cream Festival Night held in El Salvador signaled a shift that went far beyond a standard product launch. It felt like a manifesto.

The event was more than a simple consumer gathering. With government officials, major media outlets, key distributors, leading brands, and top influencers all in attendance, the focus wasn't just on "flavor"—it was on potential. The core question in the room was: Can this product become a market gateway?

The "NO Chicken Drumsticks" Ice Cream: More Than Food

The star of the show was the "NO Chicken Drumsticks" Ice Cream. Its success follows a precise three-step logic:

  1. Visual Impact: Immediate, "stop-the-scroll" aesthetics.

  2. Social Connectivity: Built-in shareability that fuels organic growth.

  3. Consumption & Retention: Converting curiosity into repeat purchases.

In essence, these products are no longer just food; they are self-propelled media vehicles.

A New Playbook for Latin America

What truly sets this movement apart is the strategic execution: the simultaneous activation of Product + Content + Campaign + Multi-Channel Distribution.

By integrating a "Purchase → Scratch → Win" interactive mechanism, the event transformed a simple transaction into an immersive experience, amplified instantly via social media. This level of integrated marketing is a rarity in the Central and South American markets.

The Bigger Picture

We aren't just selling ice cream; we are testing a new paradigm for market entry. Using El Salvador as a launchpad, this model is designed to ripple across the entirety of Latin America.

This is only the beginning. One thing is certain: the ice cream industry in Central and South America is entering a bold New Era.
